Parma 360
Fesstival
As the first Colombian art advisor to be part of the prestigious PARMA 360 Festival of Contemporary Creativity, I am deeply honored to contribute to an event at the forefront of contemporary art and digital innovation. This year’s edition, with its focus on “HOMO DEUS” and the intersection of Artificial Intelligence with artistic creation, is particularly resonant at a time when technology is redefining the boundaries of what art can be.
The exhibition “L’OPERA D’ARTE NELL’EPOCA DELL’AI,” inspired by Walter Benjamin’s seminal work, echoes a moment of profound transformation. Just as Benjamin reflected on how new techniques in the early 20th century altered artistic production, today, we witness AI as a tool and a collaborative force with artists, leading to entirely new aesthetic languages. Being part of this festival means engaging with pioneering artists at the cutting edge of this transformation, exploring themes ranging from the natural world to the human experience, all through the lens of generative and immersive technologies.
This opportunity is a milestone for me, not just personally, but for the broader Latin American art community. It signifies a bridging of cultures, where Colombian perspectives and experiences can engage with global dialogues in contemporary art. Including AI and digital art in such a historical setting as Palazzo Pigorini and Torrione Visconteo demonstrates the festival’s commitment to pushing boundaries while honoring tradition. It also reflects the festival’s dedication to involving diverse audiences and creating spaces where art can be accessible and transformative.
I am immensely proud to represent Colombia in this dialogue and to witness firsthand how the art world is evolving. This collaboration celebrates contemporary creativity and is a testament to the limitless possibilities that arise when art and technology converge.
scheduled from April 6th to May 19th, 2024, the historic buildings of Palazzo Pigorini and Torrione Visconteo, host the first collective exhibition of Italian artists on Artificial Intelligence, curated by Chiara Canali, Rebecca Pedrazzi, and Davide Sarchioni.
